September 2010
POSTER CONTEST!!!
September has been designated as Childhood Cancer
Awareness Month and September 13th as
"Childhood Cancer Awareness Day" by our legislators
. In honor of this great accomplishment Isaac's Foundation is
sponsoring our 3rd annual POSTER CONTEST for anyone
Grades K-12 during the month of September. We would like
our youth to design a product labeled with the "Gold Ribbon"
which signifies Childhood Cancer.
The Kids can put their ideas on paper suggesting how the gold ribbon could appear on
company products. Below are examples of some of the previous winners. If anyone has
contacts at companies that would be interested in featuring the gold ribbon on their
products, please contact: linda@isaacsfoundation.org
Tips and Suggestions:
When Isaa's Foundation met with some of the larger companies in search of a sponsor for a "Gold Ribbon" product, we learned that these companies will not label a product with the "Gold Ribbon" unless they could see a high enough rate of return to pay for the cost of the campaign. You can choose ANY product for our contest however. Some ideas of products to label with the "Gold Ribbon" are food items, medical/pharmaceutical items, cleaning and paper products, clothing, outdoor supplies, toys-ANY consumer product but try to keep in mind items that large companies would market in support of Childhood Cancer and label with our "Gold Ribbon".
