Beauty is only skin deep or so the saying goes.
What is mean by this, I think no one really knows.
So many beautiful ladies came to participate here today.
This is not me preaching, but listens to what I have to say.
There are many people in this world with different needs.
What may bring some hope are a few kind deeds.
One blanket may shelter the homeless from the cold.
Benevolence can change a heart of stone into gold.
A sweetie to a homeless child can mean
The only food he may today have seen.
The biggest decision the privilege may have to make
Will it be medium or a well done steak?
A moment of your time donated to a worthy cause
May mean that misery in a needy person’s life can pause.
For a brief moment ever so slight
Your generosity can spread some light
To us the question always remain
Is there something by giving I will gain?
A smile on a child’s face is payment enough
Finding the pot at the end of the rainbow wasn’t so tough.
This is my story so much more I can say!
Spread some hope and have a great day.

Dearest Isaac Foundation-
you recently traveled to visit my son's school, Wigwam
Creek MS in LItchfield Park AZ for their cancer recognition day.
I wanted to let you know, that my son was so touched by your story of
sweet Isaac, that he has not stopped talking about it, or him. Instead of
searchingand fishing the web on youtube, tonight I caught him up late on
your website, reading the blogs and following along with what is going on.
He made rice krispie treatsfor a class recipe project and wanted to make them
pink in honor of Isaac. What you are doing is very commendable, and I wanted to
let you know that people are listening. Even teenagers with raging hormones
are listening and trying to find ways to take action and to help find a cure for MPS.
He now wants to be a doctor instead of a NFL player. Thank you so much for
sharing your story, keep it up. Things will happen when you least expect them to.
Sincerely,
CaraLee

IN HONOR OF TYLER STOLP:
My name is Dawn and I am the proud mother of 2 wonderful children, Tyler (forever 9) and Ashley (9). On January 20th 2004 my son Tyler was diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric cancer called
Neuroblastoma. It was stage 4, the worst as most are with this kind of cancer, and it had spread through out his whole body. For the next 4 years Tyler had endured endless rounds of chemo, hospital stays, surgerys, blood draws, bone marrow transplant, experimental treatments at our "home" hospital and out of state in New York and Vermont, and so much more. On October 19th 2007 Tyler's doctor had gave me the devastating news that there was no more that could be done for Tyler. His blood counts weren't recovering and the chemo was no longer helping. At that time Tyler went on hospice care to keep him as comfortable as possible. On April 9th 2008 in the very early morning hours Tyler's beathing seemed to change so we had a hospice care nurse at the house by 5 am. The nurse had told me that he didn't believe that Tyler would make it through the day. By noon that day I was exhausted, my house was filled with people, and Tyler could no longer be woke up. I layed down with Tyler, held him in my arms, asked him to stay with me for just one more day, and fell asleep holding him. At 2 pm I had woke up and Tyler had already passed away. He was still in my arms, had his hand on my heart, and a smile on his face. He was finally at peace.
So now that you know my story I will tell you exactly why I am sharing this with you. On the second anniversary of Tyler's passing (April 9th, 2 PM) I will be shaving my head to honor Tyler and raise money for a non profit oganization that I fully support, Isaacs foundation. What I like about this foundation is that they raise money strictly for pediatric cancer which is way under funded. So what I ask of you is that you all help me raise as much money as possible for this foundation. Here are the ways you can help:
1) Donate directly to Isaac's Foundation - You can donate online through paypal or you can send a donation directly to the foundation at:
Isaac's Foundation
Tyler Stolp
15412 110th Street
Sauk Centre, MN 56378
2) You can copy and paste this message into an email to as many people as possible to help get this to more people.
3) Word of mouth - tell anyone you know about this.
Please note that if you donate to write a memo of "In honor of Tyler Stolp" so we can track how much is raised and I can let everyone know exactly how much they helped.
We are planning on making a video of my head shaving and posting it on youtube.
Also before I close this I would like to leave you with the web addresses for Tyler's caringbridge www.caringbridge.org/visit/tylerstolp and also Isaac's Foundation www.isaacsfoundation.org.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and also help me in my mission to honor my angel Tyler.
Tyler's proud mom,
Dawn Stolp
